Brief description of role

The VFX Rental Coordinator is responsible for organising the smooth running of CineArk’s VFX kit rental department. The role spans from technical tasks to production liaison, PR and networking. The ideal candidate will have had on-set experience with the VFX department, understands the needs of a production and will work as a point of contact between the client and CineArk.

Main Responsibilities

  • Dealing with incoming production rental requests, suggesting appropriate equipment for the production’s needs and translating this into a quote.

  • Working with the Technical Director to choose appropriate equipment for rental stock.

  • Build customised rental kits based on client requirements.

  • Ensuring the good working state of equipment and promptly order/repair components when needed.

  • Work with the Kit Room Technicians to deal with day to day operational requirements, helping train them on the VFX equipment and deal with problems that arise. 

  • Tracking upcoming shoots and plan rental stock effectively.

  • Coordinate logistics and work closely with the internal team to provide a seamless client experience.

Candidate Requirements

  • Able to demonstrate an understanding and a working knowledge of the most common tools and accessories used on set by VFX such as witness and DLSR cameras.

  • Clear and confident communicator.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Problem solver with strong organisational skills

Desirable but not essential

  • Interest in electronics/computers or AV, film equipment.

  • People management skills.

  • Ambition to create new opportunities and markets for CineArk.

  • Good connections within the Film industry and the VFX departments.

  • Higher education.

Working Conditions

  • 42 hour week, Monday to Friday, 08.00-18.00 with a half-day off.

  • Flexible working can be considered.

  • Holiday – 25 days (excluding bank holidays)

  • Pension scheme.

  • Sales commission on top of salary.
